Srixon Z-UR Golf Balls
The Srixon Z-UR has low spin off the driver, high trajectory, and medium spin from an iron. It is a firmer ball than other similar distance balls, but it has the advantages shared with other large core balls from Srixon. The large core has been optimized for resiliency and velocity off driver shots. These are true distance balls which will travel great lengths at high speeds with low spin. The Energetic Gradient Growth (E.G.G.) core more efficiently transfers energy from the ionomer mantle to the center of the ball. E.G.G. is a progressively softer core which helps to reduce driver shot spin. Srixon Z-UR golf balls have the largest diameter in their core when compared to other competitive distance balls. This size enhances the distance and speed the ball is capable of reaching. A center ionomer mantle provides efficient energy transfer while increasing the spin on short shots. To make room for the large core, the elastomer urethane cover is the thinnest available, but it is resist to cutting and is not apt to bouncing. 330 dimples on the exterior keep the flight of these balls straight in wind shear, while providing lift, and reducing drag.
This is a prime ball for experienced golfers with fast swings over 90 miles per hour who want to optimize their distance game. The Srixon Z-UR is primarily a ball for long games, but its short game performance is average.
